Eward P. Kysar, Jr. was born in Calif. in 1924 and joined the Army at Los Angeles in 1942. At the time of enlistment he was unmarried, had completed four years of high school and was employed as a miner. Kysar joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. where he was assigned to Company L of the 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment.
